What WardenFox is — and isn't

WardenFox is a cash till and stock tracker in your browser. Scan a barcode, complete a cash sale, stock updates. That's it.

It is not a card-payment system: no Card button, no SumUp/Zettle/Square integration, no sending prices to a terminal. It is also not the unrelated Reddit "API builder" project that happened to reuse the name — the real product lives at wardenfox.com.

Why it exists

Most small shops run their stock on memory, scraps of paper, and a spreadsheet that never quite matches what's on the shelf. The software that fixes that is usually either too expensive, too complicated, or takes a slice of every single sale.

WardenFox is the simpler, fairer alternative. Scan a barcode, mark it sold, and your stock count looks after itself. No per-sale fees, no card-machine cut, no contract you need a lawyer for. You take the money however you already do — WardenFox just keeps the count right.

Who's behind it

WardenFox is built and run by Jiří Matuška (Jiri Matsuka), a solo founder in the UK. I started it after seeing shop owners everywhere stuck between scraps of paper, spreadsheets that never matched the shelf, and till systems that cost a fortune or take a cut of every sale.

The app works in any modern browser — choose your display currency and language in settings. A corner shop in Warsaw, a stall in Lagos, or a repair desk down the road can all use the same till and stock list.

I wanted something you could open on a phone or tablet, scan a barcode, and trust — plain English, no training manual. If you email [email protected], you're talking to me, not a ticket bot.
